In this introductory overview, participants will firstly reflect upon the gender inequality that persists within academia and research - locating it within wider, global sexism and patriarchy. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and learn from others while reflecting on the data and realities of gender inequalities, barriers and discrimination. We will use this understanding to consider leadership within research through a gendered lens. We will critique past and current leadership models and explore diverse, inclusive and feminist principles of leadership. Crucially, these sessions will enable you to explore how to use these principles to lead real change;  personally, professionally and institutionally.

Your Benefit:

Participants in this workshop will be able to plan and shape their own leadership journey in line with the values they develop and understand throughout the session.

Condition to Participate:

This webinar is open to all Helmholtz Munich members.

The webinar provides an opportunity to share your experiences in a safe and confidential environment. It's not recorded.

Due to the nature of the topic, we may discuss issues that could be sensitive for some, particularly as gender bias and discrimination sit on a continuum, which includes gender-based violence.
